Notice of Rate Change. 

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you of an upcoming change to our service rates. In alignment with the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia, our hourly rate will increase to $225 effective October 15, 2024.

Rates for Our Services


Individual Therapy fee for psychological services: $210 per hour

Individual Therapy fee for clinical social work: $175 per hour

Speech and Language services fees: Varies, but is around $65 per 30 minutes

Psychoeducational Assessments: $3150

School Aged Speech and Language Assessments: $650

Pre-School Speech and Language assessments: $500

Group Therapy fees: Please call for more information.

What payment options do you accept?

We take cash, credit card or electronic email transfer.

When are fees due?

Payments are due on the date of service.

On receipt of payment, an invoice is provided for a client’s personal records.

Do you direct bill insurance companies?

No, however, psychological fees may be covered through private health insurance plans, such as Great West Life, Medavie Blue Cross, Manulife, Sunlife, and more. We recommend you contact your insurance provider before booking an appointment to find out what services are covered and whether you need a physician referral.

Do you require a referral before providing therapy or assessment services?

No. However, we recommend that you contact your insurance provider before booking an appointment to see whether they require a referral.

Do you forward information to insurance?

No. Clients maintain responsibility for completing and forwarding insurance forms.

Can I receive reimbursement through a supplemental health insurance provider?

Yes. A portion of the appointment fees may be eligible for reimbursement through a client’s supplemental health insurance. We recommend you contact your insurance provider before booking an appointment to determine if you’re eligible for reimbursement.

Can my service fees be claimed as an income tax deduction?

Yes. Fees not covered by health plans can be claimed as an income tax deduction for health care expenses.
