Tanya Stevenson
Teacher/Reading Interventionist
Tanya received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and French from Saint Mary’s University.
Tanya completed her Bachelor of Education in Elementary Studies at the University of Fort Kent in Maine and went on to obtain a Master of Education degree in Curriculum Studies, with a focus on Technology Integration from Mount Saint Vincent University. Her love of teaching and being outdoors then led her to complete the Certificate of Outdoor Education program from St. FX University.
Tanya has been teaching for more than 20 years in a variety of settings with a range of grade levels, particularly early elementary. She is passionate about teaching holistically; considering the whole child, believing that this allows for children to develop strong internal values and confidence which, in turn, leads to a better learning experience for students.
When she’s not educating small humans, Tanya enjoys being outside with her family whether it’s on the ski hill or at the beach.
