Meet Denise Boulton
Denise obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from Acadia University in 2002 and a Master of Science (Human Communication Disorders) from Dalhousie University in 2005. Following the completion of her Masters program, Denise worked for Nova Scotia Hearing and Speech (working with both the EIBI program as well as with preschool and adult clients in a clinical setting), before accepting a position with the Chignecto Central Regional Centre for Education in the 2006. For the past 18 years, Denise has provided direct speech-language assessment and therapy and consultative support to school teams to address different communication concerns, including the areas of speech sound/articulation/phonology, language, literacy, fluency delays/disorders as well as with augmentative/alternative communication.
Outside of work, Denise spends most of her time with her family. She, her husband, and her two children live outside of Truro and are involved in various athletic and volunteer activities throughout the community.
